Smoke Resto

D’MALL BORACAY by Jammy Maramag. Smoke Resto is a quaint restaurant located at the back alley, where the wet market is, of the famous D’mall. Its modest ambiance, great tasting food and affordable meal prices have made Smoke Resto very popular to locals and tourist alike. It is so popular that, owners, Rea and Ancho(res) have decided to open a second branch (behind Andok’s D’mall) to serve more raving diners.

Smoke Resto serves hearty breakfast meals and Oriental dishes. Its breakfast menu consists of omelets, sandwiches and favorite Filipino breakfast meals such as Fried Bangus, Tuyo, Tapsilog, Longsilog, Tocilog and Cornsilog. Its Oriental menu consists of savory vegetables, meat and seafood dishes. Must try vegetable dishes are Chopsuey, Spicy Buttered Mushrooms, Adobong Kangkong and Ginataang Kalabasa. Famous meat dishes are Spicy Beef Salpicao, Beef Teriyaki, Pan-grilled Chicken, Chicken Curry, Creamy Oriental Chicken, Spicy Garlic Pork, Lechon Kawali, Sinigang, Sizzling Bulalo and Bicol express. For seafood junkies, should sample Smoke Resto’s Fried Calamari, Stuffed Squid, Spicy Buttered Shrimp & Steamed Crab in Lemon and Garlic Sauce.

You can conveniently find an open Smoke Resto at any given time. The old branch opens early while the new branch closes at around 5am. If you are out at that hour it likely you’ve had too much to drink and it’s about time you should consider a hang-over prevention. Yes. Rx: A bowlful of hot Bulalo.
